The International Cooperation Activities of Lanzhou Branch of National Science Library

Lanzhou Branch Library has set up four international information centers: the Information Center for Chinese National Committee for the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme(CNC-IGBP) (2000), the Information Center for Chinese National Committee for the International Human Dimensions Programmes on Global Environment Change (CNC-IHDP) (2004), the Information Center for Chinese National Committee for World Climate Research Program (CNC-WCRP) (2005) and the Information Center for Chinese National Committee for Diversitas (CNS-DIVERSITAS) (2009).

Lanzhou Branch Library has established ties and formed partnerships with many libraries and information institutions in foreign countries for exchange of staff and publications, such as with Japanese Science and technology Agency.

Many librarians from Lanzhou Branch Library actively participated in relevant international organizations such as Chinese National Committee for the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (CNC-IHDP), the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), Chinese National Committee for the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (CNC-IGBP), etc.

It also encourages librarians to attend international academic conferences such as IFLA Annual Conferences, COLLNET Conferences, etc.
